Moderna has revamped its COVID-19 vaccine to more effectively combat the highly contagious Omicron BA.5 The new vaccine will be available this fall as a booster shot. A redesigned Pfizer vaccine will also be ready this fall. The US has ordered 105 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
