Nearly Half of Americans Will Delay Dental Care Due to Inflation

While 95% of Americans agreed that oral health is integral to systemic health, 42% noted they would postpone seeing a dental provider for prophylaxis due to the financial hit administered by high inflation, according to a survey conducted by the Delta Dental Institute. Those of lower socioeconomic status were more likely to delay dental care than those among higher income brackets.

The findings provide some evidence that that bioactive glass/hydroxyapatite are effective in occluding dentinal tubules in an in-vitro setting. Well conducted long term clinical trials are needed to assess effectiveness in a clinical setting.
