Researchers at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine have identified a protein that stimulates the growth of OSCC tumors. They suggest that by targeting this protein— lysine-specific demethylase 1—either with medications or by genetically deleting it, the growth of OSCC may be significantly slowed.
