24 hours Fast Dental Implants and Denture – A Success Story

I’d like to go through an example of a case I’ve completed that really shows a life change…fast dental implants and dentures in one day (“teeth in a day”).

So this wonderful man, who really is just a great guy, has quite a dental situation going on. You can see that he has no upper teeth, he wears a denture that doesn’t fit and doesn’t look very good and the lower teeth are failing, as well. So how do we take him from this situation over here into fixed teeth? Or in his case, sometimes we have to transition through a denture as well, or we can do one side as a denture and one side as completely fixed teeth, like “teeth-in-a-day.”

So that’s what I’m going to show here, which is kind of a unique case.

24 hour dental implants and denture

I do many cases that are complete upper and lower fixed implants all at once (a full arch of dental implants), but sometimes the patient can only afford maybe one jaw at a time. So I would usually suggest the lower is done first along with a really nice upper denture done. Usually an upper denture takes many steps to make, five to six steps, multiple appointments.

In my practice, this all happens in a single visit or two visits overnight with a lot of technology.

The plan for fast dental implants and a fast denture

So let’s go through the case here; the preoperative panoramic x-ray shows that the lower teeth are in really bad shape. They’ve got really severe decay and there is a lot of bone loss around the teeth, they’re loose and there’s no upper teeth at all. The jawbone is pretty thick on the bottom jaw, but you can see it goes up and down, it’s not very level at all. So part of the plan is going to be to level off the bone on the upper jaw.

The plan is to do zygomatic implants, but it’s not in the budget at this time, so I’m going to focus on the lower, but give him a complete new smile all within 24 hours. So what happens is this old partial that’s got the clamps and hooks is never going to be used again. This denture is very orange in color on the top; it’s never going to be used again.

In patient’s upper jaw, the bone has shrunk quite a bit. Instead of being a big horseshoe, it’s quite small, and the bottom jaw, the teeth are quite decayed and that’s what the teeth look like. You can see it really just doesn’t look very natural at all and there’s the bite that doesn’t look really good.

6 dental implants in one day

So in a single visit, I placed these six implants all at once, but prior to that is what’s most important; I took a scan of his face from the outside and then I scanned his teeth with a special scanner that scans surface objects.

It scanned a picture of the face and scanned a picture of the teeth and merged those together with a scan of the bone, did virtual surgery on the face, the teeth and the bone and did all this pre-planning beforehand so that the very next visit, the patient would come in, do the surgery and get the top new denture right away. Complete. No try-ins or anything like that.

And then, on the bottom jaw, the fixed implant bridge, you can see that it’s there in its shadow formation because it’s just a plastic bridge right now. But these are fixed teeth that are done and what a change it made, just a tremendous change. Using these technologies allows you not only to skip a lot of steps and get there quickly, but in a much more strong, handsome, beautiful fashion to where you have teeth right away.

This is the day right after the surgery, that’s just a few hours later. You can see the stitches are still in place, the six implants are in the bottom jaw and those caps are going to come off, so those new teeth can just screw right in. That’s a prototype in my office, that’s not the final. It looks fabulous, but that is just the prototype. This is the upper denture that was also milled out of a computer by little robotic arms. There’s five little arms that mill this type of denture from nothing, basically like a puck, like a round piece of acrylic.

The final result

You can see right away what that looks like and that is within 24 hours. A tremendous change was made and so you can see that beforehand, the smile was not very pleasing, it wasn’t the right color, everything was slanted, the middle of the patient was not on center at all. You can see with this technology, a desire, and a passion, I love what I do and this is what I live for, to be honest and it gives me great pleasure to do this.

This gentleman had a tremendous change and you can see what it looks like. Just the very next day, the stitches are still there, he’s on antibiotics, he has very little pain at all, he got to sleep through the procedure using an IV sedation (so you wake up and it’s done).

I know you hear a lot about what’s going on out there (at other practices), but there are very few practices that can practice to a level where they can provide this type of, people call them “temporaries”, this fast and accurate and safe.

So our surgery, our surgery team, my assistants, everything that makes this all happen, there’s a lot to go into. Plus, some expert lab work on the back end and some, I call it “computer sorcery”, that happens to have this all happen in a single day. But if you look back at how this patient looked originally from there and we look at the smile beforehand just to give you an idea, we went from that all the way into this in one visit.

There was one preoperative visit of course, but this was one surgery. One time. And those are prototypes. I’m going to take him to the finals after he’s in these for just a few months so the gum can heal up and everything, but wow, what a change!

This could be you!

These are the things that we do in my practice every single day, I’m very proud of what I do. Please leave some comments or questions about how or what or if this will apply to you. The main thing is as long as you’re healthy enough, you’re not a heavy smoker or a controlled diabetic, if you have dentures already, it’s very easy to transition you to something like this.

He’s going to go ahead and have the same thing done to the upper soon enough, but what a change already! You should see his personality, his outlook on life and so many other wonderful things have happened here. I just wanted to share this as a success story getting dentures and dental implants quickly. Let me know what you think.

  1. Hi,
I just got 3 on 8 upper arch done in Mexico. Now. I like my dental implants and I saw the implant prior to it going into my mouth , I had to get numb every time because front tooth were sensitive but I could of sworn it didn’t look like it had a palate on it at all. I can feel the middle roof of my mouth but I don’t know if I’ll get accustomed to the front one , my tongue I kept feeling the roof of my mouth like I want to pull it out. I’m lost like I want to feel my whole roof. I saw it. Are they half way made like a small portion of gum line?

  2. Hello, I live in Texas and just came across your informative blog. I had the all on 4 done about nine months ago. I am in the prefab phase. When I went in today, I expressed concern that one of the lower implants was exposed. My dentist said it was due to slight receding gum and that it was fine. He further said no one would see it..that only I would know. I still have concerns that it will cause issues down the road and would love your opinion. Thank you so much for this valuable and information blog!

  3. Hello Dr Amin, I came across to your site while googling. I was amazed reading all the positive feedback . This is my story I’ve got total extraction of my upper teeth way back 2019. 5 days ago I went to visit implantologist referred to me by my dentist . The staff took picture en röntgent picture to look if I had enough bone. Unfortunately my bone is thinner Not a good candidate for implant . He suggested not to do implant Because its a high risk , I was so sad about giving me advise with no other solution at all. Though he suggestted at the last moment if I want to do it I have to go the hospital en they took a bone from my hips . At first I didn’t understand about taking a bone at my hips Because he didn’t explain to me further. He wants me to go home en pay my consultation Fee This implantologist seems not interested to make any solution besides he’s Unfriendly. I felt humiliated . I live in Europe , would it be possible to come en visit your office for consultation ? Flying to California en stayed for 3-4 days for my 4 implant .

  6. Hello Dr Admin I currently have Crohn’s Disease and under went several surgeries for lower bowl intestine removal due to abscesses. Ever since learning of my disease my teeth have taken a hit. I once had a beautiful smile that have decayed to broken teeth, chipped teeth. It began with my back teeth working it’s way to my front. My self esteem has drastically declined as a 44 yr old male. This story hit home with me, and you really gave me hope that anything is possible as long as the right people are doing it. Its amazing how you transformed this mans smile from A to B. Just absolutely stunning. Dr Admin would you be kind to share what something like this runs? Finding a job is especially hard as most places want smiling faces. I’ve learned to keep my mouth closed to smile. Please tell me where I can find you as well to get this done please. I have a little bit of money saved up and would love to get this done. Thank you

    Christopher.

  7. Hey Dr. Amin,

Have been reading your blog for a while and it’s amazing.

    I have a question.

I have just recently gotten a dental implant in my left lateral incisor. I lost the tooth due to root resorption.

I have been doing boxing for some time recreationally.

Can I continue to do boxing and sparring? I don’t plan to become a professional fighter or anything, but it’s the one sport that I have done that has always given me peace and kept me out of trouble.

I keep reading mixed things online but also mostly from people that have no experience.

People are so quick to say NO to boxing but then they don’t realize that gloves are patted and that we were mouth guards to protect the teeth. It’s totally different than getting striked in the mouth with bare hands and no mouth guards.

I don’t want to life in fear and like a victim because of one tooth and I am still in my late 20s.

    What is your opinion?

    • Great question! I would be ok with you boxing after the implant was integrated with the final crown. I would not do it with the temp or during the grating/implant bone healing phase. That part is usually 3-5 months. What do you think?
After you are done carry on like normal! Box away!

  8. Hello Dr. Amon. Does getting just a few bottom implants really prevent bone loss? Won’t the bone continue to resorb in areas where there is no implant thus resulting in changes in appearance? Does a bottom implant that’s replacing a traditional denture feel like a denture you can never remove(that’s a scary thought)? I’m a member of several social media denture/implant groups and you’d be amazed at what some dentists tell these people. I feel like I’ll get an honest answer from you because what I’m told by one dentist is often refuted by another. It’s exhausting and expensive and I want to make sure my expectations are realistic.
