Planmeca unveils an impressive range of new product innovations at IDS 2023

Planmeca is presenting a vast range of new product innovations at the International Dental Show 2023, the leading trade fair in the dental industry. At this year’s event, Planmeca is unveiling new cutting-edge products in all the main categories: dental care units, imaging devices, software solutions and CAD/CAM.

Planmeca offers all the tools for a fully integrated and digital workflow, from dental units and imaging devices to CAD/CAM and software solutions. At IDS 2023, Planmeca is introducing new products in all of these main product categories, both expanding and complementing the company’s existing portfolio of advanced digital dental equipment. Packed with intelligent features and sophisticated design details, the latest Planmeca innovations allow dental professionals to optimise their daily work and fully concentrate on their patients.

Leading the way is the Planmeca Pro50™ dental care unit, which is a true masterpiece of sophisticated technology, genuine adaptability, and exceptional ergonomics. Since all dental unit users are different, Planmeca Pro50 has been designed to offer its users a new level of flexibility and the freedom to create the dental unit of their dreams without compromise. A smooth workflow is always guaranteed − regardless of the treatment or field of specialty.

Planmeca is also introducing a new member to the Planmeca Viso® family of extraoral CBCT imaging units. The Planmeca Viso® G3 imaging unit offers premium imaging of the whole dentition to dental practitioners around the world and comes with the full benefits of Viso technology. The new unit is a true multifunctional CBCT device, covering all extraoral imaging needs from 2D to 3D imaging. It also introduces a new intuitive and adaptable user interface, which will be made available to existing Planmeca Viso users as well.

In addition, Planmeca is introducing new features to the Planmeca Romexis® software platform, including a new AI-based segmentation tool for CBCT images, a new Planmeca Romexis® Ortho Simulator software module for creating orthodontic simulations as well as improvements to existing software modules, such as Planmeca Romexis® CMF Surgery.

Other product launches include the mobile scanning stationPlanmeca Imprex™ for Planmeca Emerald® S intraoral scanners and the new Planmeca PlanMill® 35 chairside milling unit with both wet and dry processing capabilities. While Planmeca Imprex ensures ergonomic working positions as well as allows visualising the oral health conditions and treatment plans to patients in any clinical setup, Planmeca PlanMill 35 is an ideal partner for dental practices looking for an all-round solution for fabricating dental restorations in house – especially from zirconium dioxide.

Furthermore, Planmeca is launching a new Planmeca x BWT Clean Water Systems product range at IDS 2023. The Planmeca x BWT Clean Water Systems are the result of the collaboration between Planmeca and Europe’s leading water technology company BWT, consisting of water treatment solutions for different needs and different clinic environments.

These new Planmeca innovations are presented at IDS in Hall 1 at the Planmeca booth A20–C29 from 14 to 18 March 2023. There, visitors can also get to know Planmed XFI®  – the first weight-bearing full-body CT scanner in the world by Planmeca’s medical imaging subsidiary Planmed – alongside the complete product portfolio of Planmeca.
