University at Buffalo Receives Grant to Provide Care for the Most Vulnerable

The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, a Catholic nonprofit dedicated to improving the health of New Yorkers, has given the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine more than $500,000 to provide dental care to individuals experiencing homelessness and those without insurance in Western New York. The funding will enable more than 100 days of dental treatment provided at the Buffalo City Mission and 3,000 dental visits to un- and underinsured students at Head Start programs and elementary schools in the area. Families covered by Medicaid who receive healthcare at a local clinic will also receive dental care and oral health education. Click here to read more.
