Many Resources Available to Support Compliance With Dental Amalgam Rule

More than a year has passed since the United States Environmental Protection Agency mandated dental practices to comply with its dental amalgam rule. The regulation requires dental practices to separate and recycle amalgam due to the alloy’s negative impact on the environment. The American Dental Association (ADA) conducted extensive research on the safety and effectiveness of different amalgam separators with the help of volunteer dentists.
