Monkeypox Is Found Across All 50 States

Monkeypox—which public health officials initially thought could be contained—has now spread to all 50 states. On August 22, Wyoming became the last state to report its first case. Eligibility for the vaccine is currently open only to those deemed high risk and individuals who have come into contact with a diagnosed case of monkeypox. More than 15,400 cases of monkeypox have been documented in the United States, although this number is thought to be much higher as many cases go unreported.
