Highlights include permission for healthcare providers with asymptomatic COVID-19 infections to return to work after 7 days with a negative test result within 48 hours and 10 days without a negative test result, and those clinicians who are fully vaccinated and boosted can remain on the job after an exposure deemed high risk.

Tabak, DDS, PhD, as acting director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Tabak will lead the agency in an interim capacity until a replacement can be found for retiring NIH director Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, who was the longest serving, presidentially appointed director, having served three U.S. presidents over more than 12 years.
