CDC updates COVID-19 guidance for health care workers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its COVID-19 guidance for health care workers to factor in such considerations as symptom severity, immune status and test results, according to ADA News. The ADA Comments on CDC’s Revised COVID-19 Guidelines for Healthcare Providers

On December 23, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its guidance for healthcare providers. Highlights include permission for healthcare providers with asymptomatic COVID-19 infections to return to work after 7 days with a negative test result within 48 hours and 10 days without a negative test result, and those clinicians who are fully vaccinated and boosted can remain on the job after an exposure deemed high risk.
