After the search is over and the new job has begun, it is time to make sure that learning is occurring with a timeline that is acceptable to both the dentist who was hired and to the owner who is hopefully mentoring the new associate. The skill sets that were learned in dental school will, of course, be very important to the new associate and are necessary for the task at hand.
