On November 8, Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly voted for the “A Law Relative to Regulation of Dental Insurance,” which requires dental insurance companies to spend 83% or more of members’ premiums on dental expenses and improving the quality of plans as opposed to administrative costs. It received more than 71% of the total votes. The binding ballot question will go into law on January 1, 2024.
