CDA Says Dental Practices Need to Continue Masking and COVID-19 Screening

In light of the easing of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the California Dental Association (CDA) asserts that dental team members must remain vigilant. The organization advises oral health professionals to continue wearing masks as well as asking patients to mask up when active treatment is not taking place. Additionally, the CDA notes that dental practices should continue screening patients and staff for COVID-19 and requiring oral health professionals to don N95 respirators when performing aerosol-generating procedures.
