JADA study assesses hemostatic agent use after extraction
A study published in The Journal of the American Dental Association found that hemostatic agents appear to control bleeding after tooth extractions better than conventional methods among healthy people and those at high risk of bleeding who take antithrombotic drugs. Use of hemostatic agents reduced the time to reach hemostasis as well as occurrence of bleeding events, researchers said.
