Comments Sought on Suggested Changes to Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature

The American Dental Association Enhanced Current Dental Terminology (CDT) Task Force is requesting input from all members of the dental community regarding the introduction of new dental procedure code modifiers. The Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature has not undergone a significant update since 1969. The revisions are designed to increase the accuracy of claims and create more in-depth patient records. Oral health professionals are asked to visit ADA.org/publications/cdt/enhanced-cdt to view the proposed changes. Comments should be emailed to dentalcode@ada.org by the end of March 2023.
