The Boot Camp provides a comprehensive introduction to the essential principles and practices of infection prevention and safety within the dental setting. This course is ideal for those who are new to dental infection prevention and safety, in the early stages of their career, undergoing a career transition, or seeking a refresher. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid foundation, enabling them to establish a safe environment for both patients and providers.

The Boot Camp will be held in Atlanta, GA, at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia from February 5th to 7th. Sessions will be recorded and made available to all registered participants starting February 26th. Those unable to attend in Atlanta can choose the On-Demand Only option and gain access to the session recordings for a period of 60 days, starting February 26th.

Additionally, OSAP will reintroduce their successful Antibiotic Stewardship Summit pre-course event on February 4th, and a special Federal Service Session on February 8th.

“We encourage everyone in the oral healthcare community to join us at the 2024 OSAP Boot Camp,” said Michelle Lee, CPC, executive director of OSAP. “Ensuring a safe dental visit is a team effort. Everyone from the dental assistant to the dental hygienist to the dental practice manager to the dentist is involved. And so are the educators, consultants, and sales representatives who sell dental infection control products and services. Participating in Boot Camp will ensure you and your team understand relevant regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices to protect yourselves and provide safe care to every patient.”

Participation counts toward the education requirements for two dental infection prevention and control certifications:

Early-bird registration is available now through December 4 at osapbootcamp.org.
