Alabama Now Has Highest Number of COVID-19 Deaths in the US

Over the past 2 weeks, Alabama has reported approximately 100 deaths per day due to COVID-19, making it the state with the highest pandemic-related death rate. The statistic means that 18 out of 100,000 Alabamians are dying each week. West Virginia has the second highest number of deaths with 10 per 100,000.
