Maryland Exempts Oral Hygiene Products From Sales Tax

In an effort to support families amid rising consumer prices, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan signed a bill exempting oral hygiene products from sales tax. Beginning on July 1, 2022, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tooth powders, mouthwash, dental floss, and other dental hygiene products will no longer incur sales tax. The legislation also excludes baby-care products, such as diapers and car seats, from sales tax. Click here to read more.
