Pikeville University located in Pikeville, Kentucky, is set to open a much-needed dental school after receiving a record-breaking anonymous donation of $25 million. The private, Presbyterian institution in the Eastern Kentucky region of Appalachia hopes to open the dental school to students within 3 years. The school already has a college of osteopathic medicine and recently founded a college of optometry.
