CDC Considers Shortening Quarantine Period

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is considering reducing the suggested quarantine period after exposure to an individual with COVID-19 from 14 days to 7 days, followed by a COVID-19 test. The quarantine period is designed to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus and to support contact tracing efforts.
